What is NCYLS?
NCYLS is a three day seminar that develops leadership potential, cultivates communication skills, and inspires community responsibility in high school sophomores.
When and where is it?
This year, NCYLS will be held at Menlo College in Atherton, California.
It will start Friday, May 21st at 8am and ends Sunday May 23rd at 3pm.
What kind of activities happen at NCYLS?
At NCYLS, students:
• engage in team building exercises
• learn from motivational speakers how to make an impact on their world
• participate in communication work shops
• improve public speaking skills
• perform group skits
• perform group cheers
• hear from inspiring community leaders
• have lots of fun
• grow as a leader in many ways
Who Speaks at NCYLS?
NCYLS features a variety of speakers, from motivational speakers, to community leaders, to panels of professionals in the non-profit sector. We have a new Speaker Bio page about all of our wonderful speakers, check it out here! It is important to note that NCYLS does not take sides on politics or religion, and none of our speakers push a religious or political agenda on the students. The speakers' aim is to teach, empower and motivate the students to become leaders in their local communities and in the world.
