Track Hours

NCYLS Alumni are challenged to complete 100 hours of community service within one year of attending NCYLS.

We are pleased to announce our participation in the President’s Volunteer Service Award program as a Certifying Organization.

This new Award is a Presidential honor that recognizes the valuable contributions of volunteers nationwide who are answering the President’s call to serve others through their current volunteer activities or lifetime service. As a Certifying Organization, we can verify your service hours and distribute the Award when you have completed the NCYLS 100 Hour Challenge.

There are three easy steps to signing in to the President's Volunteer Service Award website and adding NCYLS as your certifying organization:

Organization code: MRZ-31609
Group Code: RMR-634F

  1. Go to http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/ and create a new account or "record of service" by clicking on TRACK HOURS.
  2. Go first to My Profile to update your information. Here, put in your city, state, gender and input in the code for NCYLS under "Your Record of Service Key". The code is: MRZ-31609.
  3. Go to the "Groups" tab and join the NCYLS group by
inputting the code RMR-634F. Click Join Group.
  4. Start tracking your hours by going to the My Service tab.
  5. Happy tracking!  If you have any questions at all, please call Claire Butterworth at 323-717-8793 or email trackhours@californialeaders.org

“I really learned a lot here.  What I've learned the most is about myself.  I learned that one person really can make a difference no matter whom or what they are.  Coming here was just so amazing.  This experience is so indescribable.  I really loved it and want to be a part of it next year.”
-Naznin Sheikh, Mercy (SF)

“This seminar means so much to me, including growth and inspiration to not be afraid to make a change in my community and the world.  It truly was an outstanding experience that taught me all about communication and leadership.  This seminar is one of the best learning opportunities I've ever had.”
